This information was given Minister for CAPD and Transport, Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan while reviewing a meeting convened here on Monday.
The minister directed the executing agencies to accelerate the pace of construction on the under-execution projects ensuring their timely completion.
The meeting was informed that out of 15 sanctioned schemes under PMGSY, 10 schemes stand completed by utilising Rs. 35.47 crore against sanctioned cost of Rs. 45.28 crore constructing 59.54 kms against target of 73.60 kms and connected 8 habitations of the Constituency. The work on the three projects is in process, while as tenders have been invited for the rest two projects.
The meeting further informed that 3 projects include bridge at Shartwari, Nagri over Pohru Nallah, single lane steel Girder Bridge at Nagri and building of Primary Health Centre Batpora Magam are being executed at a cumulative cost of Rs. 10.86 crore by the JK PCC. The work on bridge at Shartwari, Nagri Kupwara is near completion and the work on other projects is going on in full swing.
The work on 3 road projects have been taken up under Projectization programme under R&B sector, while as project reports of some vital roads have been prepared and submitted for formal approval and funding, the meeting was informed.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Superintendent Engineer, R&B, PMGSY and District Manager JKPCC.
