Ramnagar-bound passenger held with 2kg Charas

QAZIGUND: Police on Saturday arrested a passenger who had boarded a Jammu-bound bus on Saturday and recovered two kg Charas from his possession.
According to a report, during a routine checkup at North Portal of Jawahar Tunnel at Qazigund, security personnel headed by In-charge Security Jawhar Tunnel Inspector Haji Gh. Nabi Lone in presence of security person Sartaj Ahmad recovered 2KG of Charas from the possession of one Prakash Singh son of Ramdass resident of Ramnagar, Udhampur travelling in the bus (JK02W 3779) from Srinagar to Jammu. He was handed over to Police Post Jawahar Tunnel along with recovery for legal course of action.
It is pertinent to mention here that many recoveries have been made by Haji Inspector Gh.Nabi after he assumed the charge of Security Officer Jawhar Tunnel and for his dedication and drive against drugs he was awarded by Additional Director General of Police (Security) and Special Kashmir as Honest and dedicated officer in J and K Police.
Meanwhile, Chairman JKNPP, Harsh Dev Singh said that the Panthers Party already raised the issue that some anti-national elements were roaming freely in the state but the authorities of police department has not take it seriously resulting in today police caught Prakash Singh.
“In this regard Panther’s Party also staged many protest.
The brother of One Prakash Singh, Londi has already in the jail,” he added.
