JAMMU: Ramiz Tariq of National Institute of Sports (NIS) Patiala and Physical Education Teacher (PET) of Poonch District, has qualified Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) level -I coaches course which was held at Dr Sivanthi Adityam FIVB Regional Development Centre for volleyball, Chennai.
The course was held from 8th to 12th April, 2016 wherein a total of 32 candidates from Asian countries participated.
FIVB has nominated Branislav Moro from Serbia (FIVB instructor) as Course Director and G.E Sridharan, Arjuna and Dronacharya Awardee, national coach and FIVB instructor from India as Course Instructor.
The valedictory function took place with the presentation of attestation to all the candidates by the Chief Guest, Murugaia, IAS, Inspector General of Registration and Chief Controlling, Revenue Authority of Chennai.
The office bearers of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir congratulated Ramiz Tariq, son of Mohd Tariq of Poonch for qualifying international coaching course level-I of FIVB.
Expressing thanks to Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Mohd Tariq said that platform provided by the association to explore the talent from rural areas of the State was very appreciable.
