Ram Pal optimistic about big win for NC

JAMMU: Former minister and legislator Babu Ram Pal on Monday said that National Conference is poised for a big victory in the ongoing elections and at the threshold of forming a stable and strong government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing an election meeting in support of Jammu East candidate Bimla Luthra at Bawe Wali Gali here, Ram Pal said that National Conference is the only party that has plunged into elections with developmental agenda.
“We decry the attempts of vitiating the atmosphere and polarising the situation by indulging in divisive and opportunistic policies”, Ram Pal said and assailed BJP, PDP and Congress for pursuing deceptive agenda to get glued to power by hook or crook.
Ram Pal said development of Jammu East deserves a focused attention as it was the face of the winter capital. Being hub of commercial activity, effort is being made to develop it on modern lines keeping in view its glorious heritage. In this context, he referred to the initiatives taken for preserving and promoting the ancient grandeur of Raghunath Bazaar, which is nerve centre of the humming city.
Ram Pal exhorted people to cast their votes in favour of Bimla Luthra saying it will be support to the progressive polices of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Speaking on the occasion, Luthra said development of the areas remains her top priority. The enumerated various initiatives taken for the upliftment of the people especially those belonging to weaker segments of the society.
Luthra made a passionate appeal to the voters to come forward in a big way and help in isolating divisive forces.
