SRINAGAR: National General Secretary BJP, Ram Madhav called on the Governor N. N. Vohra, here on Monday.
Before arriving in Srinagar Madhav had visited the Indo-Pak border areas where the residents of over two dozen villages have been very badly affected by the incessant firing from across the LoC.
Over 10,000 of the affected villagers including young children and elderly persons have been accommodated in the temporary camps in Arnia and RS Pura, in a number of schools and public buildings.
Madhav urged the Governor to take immediate action for ensuring that the villagers living in the camps were provided all the basic amenities, including the required medical facilities. The Governor informed Madhav that he would speak about this matter with the Chief Minister J and K.
