Rajya Puraskars presented to 277 Scouts, Guides

JAMMU: Governor N.N. Vohra, who is the Patron of the J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides (S&G), presented Rajya Puraskar to 277 Scouts and Guides of the State at the Award Presentation Ceremony held at Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday.
Usha Vohra, First Lady; Dr. Nirmal Singh, Deputy Chief Minister; Naeem Akhter, Minister for Education, Jahangir Mir, DG Youth Services and Sports and other dignitaries were presented Scout Scarves on the occasion.
The Governor congratulated the recipients of the Awards and wished them bright careers ahead. He lauded the valuable work being done by the functionaries of the J and K State Bharat Scouts and Guides. The Governor thanked the Education Minister for allotting the building of Government Middle School Satwari to enable the Scouts and Guides to locate their Headquarters there.
Earlier, the Governor unfolded the S&G Flag and the S&G presented the Prayer and the Flag Song. I.D Soni, State Commissioner, J and K State Bharat S&G were also present at the function.
