Rajnath avoiding KPs exposes centre’s sincerity: ASKPC

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Alleging sheer neglect of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) by Home Minister Rajnath Singh during his two days tour of Jammu and Kashmir, Executive Body of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) on Monday questioned the seriousness of State and Central dispensations over return and rehabilitation of KP community living in exile for the last over 25 years.
Addressing the meeting of members, President ASKPC Advocate Ravinder Raina raised many questions about the meeting of Home Minister with selected groups in the Valley and avoiding the aboriginals including internally displaced persons, PM Package employees and other state employees who were forced to leave the valley and are camping and demonstrating at Jammu.
Referring the exodus of KPs which according to him was marred with killings, rapes and injuries to community members and present situation in Valley which again dented the earnestness of Government towards this hapless segment of people, he expressed anguish over prejudice and discrimination shown by Rajnath Singh and registered protest that it was a deliberate attempt to annul the voice of KPs. The meeting demanded that central and the State Governments should also give Kashmiri Pandits a chance to project their plight and play a significant role in political process to steer the State out of morass.
