JAMMU: Wrestler Yodha of Amritsar clinched the eighth annual Patiri-Bishnah Kesari Dangal title beating Kaka of RS Pura in the main bout that took place at Bishnah. Dangal was organised by Patiri Dangal Committee in association with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
Winner Yodha was awarded with Rs 9,000 cash prize by Member Legislative Assembly, Ashwani Sharma and President of J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma. Runners-up, Kaka bagged Rs 6,000 prize. Prithvi Raj Sharma, Bansi Lal Sharma and Naresh Kumar were among other special guests.
The second main bout played between Manjeet of Ajnala and Roshan Lal of J and K Police ended in a draw resulting into both the wrestlers sharing Rs 11,000 cash incentive.
A total, 42 bouts were decided in this day-long Dangal wherein 84 wrestlers within and outside the State took part.
Members and technical officials, who helped in smooth conduct of this Dangal include Surinder Sharma, Joginder Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Mohan Lal Sharma, Jagdish Raj Sharma, Banna RAM Bhagat, Choudhary Prem Singh, P.R Sharma, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Prem Kumar, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Mohammad Fareed, Murli Dhar (Munna), Pappu, Abja Sharma and Choudhary PK.
