CHANDIGARH: Punjab University has decided to confer Honorary Degree of LL D (Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa) on noted Nobel Laureate and Children Rights activist Kailash Satyarthi.
The degree will be conferred to Satyarthi for his contribution and his work against child labour since the 1990s in India, a university spokesman said here today.
The decision was taken at the Senate meeting of the PU held here today, the spokesman added.(PTI)
