Apart from providing langar (community kitchen) to the victims of Nepal earthquake, we have also decided to send tarpaulins, clothes, milk for children and other items, an official spokesman said.
As many as 1,000 people from affected areas of Sidhupal, Bhimter and Siplakot were provided with dry ration, tarpaulins and medicines. Some 3,000 people were given food from langar at the Harinadh camp and over 300 were given medicines, he said.
The residents of Majua and Kirtipur were given blankets, mats and dry ration.
The Punjab government team is overseeing the arrangements at relief camps being set up at Guru Nanak Satsang, Kupandol, Lalitpur, the spokesman said.
The government is also sending more supplies from here with the help of Indian Air Force, he added.
