Publicise Jammu festivals adequately: DSS

JAMMU: Dogra Sadar Sabha J and K urged upon the State Government especially the officials concerned to put in best of efforts to ensure the festivals are conducted in the most befitting manner so that the aim of celebrating the festival of reviving the Dogra heritage and culture is achieved.
In this regard, the Working Committee meeting of Dogra Sadar Sabha was held under its President Thakur G.S Charak. The agenda for the meeting mainly focussed on the upcoming Jammu festival which is scheduled to be celebrated form 13th to 15th April 2016.
The Working Committee members also appealed to the government to adequately publicise the events which are being held during the festival so that maximum public participates in the festival.
The functions which are being organised by Dogra Sadar Sabha were discussed in detail and two sub committees were constituted for this purpose with Janak Khajuria, Madan Rangila, Jagdish Singh (Babli), Rattan Doshi and Dr. Kamal Sharma as members. The Dogra Sadar Sabha also expressed gratitude to the people particularly representatives of various religions who participated and extended their whole hearted cooperation for the conduct of Holy Chhari Yatra from Jammu to Purmandal.
Among those who were present in the meeting include Dr Neel Kanth Sharma, Pram Sagar Gupta, Col. Karan Singh, Major Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Brig. M.S Jamwal, Ajay Gupta, Dr H.R Shan, Dr. M.S Baloria, Dr. P.S Pathania, Janak Khajuria, Rattan Doshi, Col. Amar Singh Jamwal, J.S Babli, Vikas Kohli, Vijay Malhotra, Chatter Singh, S.Kulbir Singh, J.H Bali, Ram Parkash Sharma, Amrik Singh, Ajeet Singh, N.R Sharma, Ravi Singh Slathia, Naseeb, Jagdeep Singh, Chhankar Singh, Chanan, Ali Kazmi and Dr. Kamal Sharma.
