JAMMU: Shiv Shakti Sena, J and K, staged a protest against the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department for escalating the rates of the essential commodities like Atta, rice and improper supply of these items to the consumers.
Scores of party activists along with general public assembled at Main Chowk, Janipur, and raised slogans against the State administration especially the concerned minister.
State President, Shiv Shakti Sena, Rakesh Gupta urged upon the State Government to roll back this decision and allow supply of wheat flour and rice to the rationees on the previous rates.
He also warned that if this decision is not reverted then the general public will be forced to come on roads and stage statewide protest against the government as well as FCSCA Department in support of their demand.
Shiv Deep Gupta, Ashwam Gupta, Sat Pal Shanna, Mahinder Dogra, Kaka, Rahul Gupta and Affian Kumar were also present in the protest.
