NOWSHERA: Parents of a married woman who died in Government Medical College Hospital Jammu after consuming poison, alleged her murder by her in-laws. The parents kept the body of the woman Jyoti Devi (26) wife of Rakesh Kumar resident of Dabbar, Nowshera on the road at Kulwant Chowk and held a protest.
According to reports the woman consumed poison and became unconscious at her residence. She was immediately shifted to Sub district Hospital Nowshera but due to her critical condition she was evacuated to GMC Hospital Jammu where she breathed her last. Her parents demanded that a case under section 302 RPC should be registered against her in-laws.
The Nowshera Police pacified the protesters that proper inquiry will be conducted in the case and the culprits will be booked. On the assurance of police the protesters lifted body of the woman and road was opened for traffic.
