Locals allege Police hand-in-glove with attackers

JAMMU: A property dealer was stabbed multiple times by rival group members at Miran Sahib area on Friday while the main accused managed to flee giving a dodge to the police. The attackers also snatched Rs 6 lakh from the injured property dealer.
Some locals alleged that the local police facilitated the main accused to flee from the area after committing the crime while two co-accused have been detained and are being interrogated to ascertain the reason behind attempt to murder a property dealer identified as Sandeep Singh, resident of Sarore.
Eye witnesses revealed that the property dealer Sandeep Singh was stabbed multiple times and all the accused managed to flee without any fear as if they are getting the full support from the local police.
The victim’s family members and friends alleged that the local police is hand-in-glove with the attackers. There was a conspiracy behind this attack as local police is delaying action against the attackers.
Both the victim and the accused were closely associated once upon a time. Now from the last few years, they were against each other, said a local shopkeeper.
Meanwhile, the police has so far arrested two co-accused, whose identity has not been disclosed by the police.
The main accused Dilbag Singh has went underground, which the locals term as local police support.
The injured property dealer has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Doctors attending the victim termed his condition stable. Miran Sahib Police, in the meanwhile, claim that the raids are continuing to nab the main accused, who also looted Rs 6 lakh from the injured property dealer.
