Prompt decision important for transparent, accountable leadership: former Mayor

JAMMU: In the ongoing second phase of anti-corruption campaign launched by former Jammu Mayor, Rajinder Sharma under the name of ‘Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu’, on Monday met BCA students at Commerce College and motivated them to fight against the menace of corruption.
About 300 students were addressed by the former Mayor who said that prompt decision making is possible without self-consideration and consideration of own family and loved ones.
“Working on this principal our PM Modi led the nation at national level to achieve three big making successes-G20 Presidency, soft landing on moon and invention of COVID-19 vaccines,” he said adding, “This prompt decision making is important for transparent, accountable and honest leadership and for such a leadership all the students have taken an oath to bring such a leadership in their colleges, Mohalla, local bodies, Assembly constituencies and Parliamentary constituencies.”
Sharma stressed on eradicating corruption from the society, administrative system and politics. He said that caste favours should be avoided while electing a public representative and such representative should be properly educated with proper knowledge of working of government and administration. On this occasion certificates were downloaded from the website of ‘Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu’ for the oath.
So far in the two phases of the campaign over 1000 oath certificates have been downloaded. Monika Mahajan HoD BCA also addressed on the occasion.
