RAJOURI: Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat on Friday held a detailed review of the progress made under the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Mumtaz Choudhary,ACR ,Paramjeet Singh along with all the SDMs, Tehsildars, BDOs and TSOs .
Chairing the meeting, DC was informed that the target of 3,66,997 persons has been fully covered under the category of priority households and the remaining 2,23,986 under non-priority category also stand verified till date.
Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of digitisation work, DC directed vendors to expedite the process besides directing TSOs to ensure that all the forms received are digitised without any duplication. “TSOs will personally supervise the ongoing digitization of forms villagewise / FPS Wise, “DC said .
Meanwhile, DC stressed for adhering to laid down procedures to ensure that forms received be checked properly through Tehsil level committees besides asking concerned TSOs to precisely cross check each form to avoid duplication of the same at Tehsil level .
He instructed the field staff to expedite the whole process so as to ensure coverage of overall population under NFSA .
