JAMMU: Assistant Professor and Head Department of Computer Sciences, Government SPMR College of Commerce, Parveen Singh brought laurel to the country by attending United Nation fourth Workshop on “South Cooperation on Science and Technology to address climate change” held at Kunming , China.
Prof Parveen represented India and presented detail country report in the two days UN conference followed by 19 days workshop and presented paper on how latest technology can be used to mitigate problem arising due to climate change. Prof Singh paper titled “Climate Change: Indian perspective, Mitigation and adaption” was declared best paper among all the 23 papers presented by the delegates from different part of the world.
Prof Parveen Singh in his paper elaborated that how climate change has played havoc all over world and also in India especially Kashmir and Uttrakhand and what are the ways and means which needs to be adopted by developing as well as developed countries by which such natural disaster can be controlled.
Prof Parveen has been invited to Laos where second phase of this workshop will be held in the month of May 2015.
