Priya inaugurates Engineering College Office ‘Pending salary of ReTs to be released soon’

JAMMU: Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi on Sunday inaugurated Jammu office of Sukhjinder Group of Technical Institutes at Bahu Plaza, here.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said opening of the office is a welcome step and now students of the State who wish to pursue technical education can avail the admission benefit in the city only.
On the occasion, the management of the institutions announced fifty per cent scholarship in admission for engineering courses of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication for girls, students of merit and SC/ST students of the state.
Chairman of the Institutes Swinder Singh Gill, Regional Marketing Head Varun Gandotra, HR head Sugandha Abrol and Marketing head Aanish Mahajan were present during on the occasion.
Meanwhile, J&K Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) Teachers Forum led by its Senior Vice Chairman, Bhupinder Singh met MoS for Education, Priya Sethi to discuss the problems being faced by the teachers working under SSA and RMSA. Senior BJP leader, Yudhveer Sethi was also present on the occasion.
Singh apprised the Minister that salary of ReTs and regularised ReT teachers working under SSA was pending for the last so many months.
He also demanded regularisation of ReTs and female ReTs working in KGBV schools and implementation of transfer policy in favour of regularised ReTs.
After giving a patient hearing to the delegation, the MoS Priya Sethi assured that the salary of ReTs and regularised ReTs working under SSA will be released within days. She also assured for the redressal of other demands highlighted by the delegation.
The delegation comprised of Kuldeep Katoch, Rashpaul Sharma, Arvind Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Anil Chowdhury, Sunil Salaria, Surjeet Singh, Sanjeev Sharma, Surinder Singh, Brahm Kishor and Joty Bandral.
