The business establishments in the Sarai Bala and Maharaja Bazar areas of the Srinagar city went on flash shutdown soon after news trickled in about killing of two terrorists during late night encounter with security forces. The shops were shut in solidarity with
eliminated utltras, whose identity remained a mystery. It was beyond anybody’s imagination whether they were locals or from the across the border. Is it a matter of pride or shame for those closing down their shops not to show even slight human feelings for the slain policemen, who were not only their co-religionists but also came from their immediate vicinities?
