It is like pot calling kettle black. National Conference has taken strong exception to awarding Padma Vibushan to Jagmohan while blaming him for Gawakadal killings and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Known as Peoples’ Governor in Jammu and Ladakh, Jagmohan was the hero who retrieved Kashmir from the clutches of anti-national elements, which included some deceptive politicians who are now holding important assignments in the so-called mainstream politics.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for National Conference to have shelved its responsibility during crucial months of 1990, virtually handing over the fort to terrorists, encouraging secessionists to call shots and now accusing highly credited patriot for the follies they themselves created?
