Press Club gets new reception centre

JAMMU: With an endeavour to provide better facilities and services to its members, Press Club of Jammu (PCJ) on Monday inaugurated its newly constructed reception centre.
President Press Club Jammu Ashwani Kumar inaugurated the newly constructed reception centre in presence of office bearers and staff of the club after a Yagya and Pooja, performed inside the centre.
Ashwani said that after new management committee has taken over, thrust was laid on giving a new look to the club.
“Immediately after the new commitee took up, the work was executed on various new projects, aimed at giving a new look to club,” he said.
“The work on new and modern restaurant is on final stage and work on another building is in full swing. All these steps are aimed to give club a modern look”, he added.
The modern restaurant will also be inaugurated very soon that will provide a good and modern ambiance to its members, he added.
Vice President Abhimanyu Sharma said that space where existing reception was located is being renovated and it will now be given a new look and will be used as waiting area for members.
“Soon Club will have a modern waiting area, which will fulfil the long pending demand of our members”, he added.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Secretary General PCJ, said that the existing reception area had a limited space and often it was unable to cater the rush of members and people who used to come to club for various purposes. “The new reception centre will cater all these problems. Centre will not only give a proper and high-tech space to visitors but will also add to the services of the club”, he added. Former President PCJ Manu Shrivasta, who was also present during the function, lauded the role of management committee. “Construction of reception centre was a need of hour and management committee has done a remarkable job”, he added.
Appreciating the work done by committee, he said that the committee is devoted towards giving club a new look. New restaurant and construction of additional bulding are the much needed steps that committee is woking on”, he added.
Secretary Finance Dinesh Manhotra, Executive Members Ajay Bachloo, Dinesh Mahajan, Deepak Khajuria, Surjeet Singh, Vishal Bharti, Pawan Sharma and Nishikant Khajuria were also present.
