RAJOURI: President Municipal Council Rajouri, Mohammad Arif on Tuesday launched tile work at the old bus terminal. The work is set to be completed at an anticipated cost of Rs 55 lakh.
The tiling work has been initiated to meet the long-standing demand of the general public. Interacting with the shopkeepers and local residents, Mohammad Arif stated that the tiling work of the city bus stand would keep the surroundings clean. “The work has been started to meet the long-standing public demand and provide much needed respite to the general public, transport workers, and travelers” he said. He further said that this work is part of the city and town programme, which also includes filling of potholes from Abdullah Bridge to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Bridge Rajouri .
Arif instructed the executing agency to complete the work within the set deadline and adhere to quality parameters.
Former MC President and Councillor, Rajinder Gupta, Councillor, Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Councillor, Mamta Dutt, concerned Engineers besides prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
