President extends term of Adv Rajat Gupta as Senior Counsel for three years

JAMMU: President extended term of Advocate Rajat Gupta as Senior Counsel for three years for conducting litigation of Army, Navy and Air Force before Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench Srinagar at Jammu.
“With reference to this Department’s Order No. J-11017/1/2018-Judicial dated July 28, 2021, the President is pleased to extend the term of Rajat Gupta, Senior Panel Counsel for Armed Forces Tribunal (Regional Bench) Srinagar (J&K) for a further period of three years with effect from July 28, 2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” reads an order issued by Manindra Choudhary, Assistant Legal Adviser (Judicial), Ministry of Law & Justice Department of Legal Affairs, (Judicial Section) Government of India.
“The engagement and professional fee of aforesaid advocate will be governed by the terms & conditions contained in this Department’s OM No. 26(l)/99-Judl. dated September 24, 1999 to be read with OM No. 26(1)/2014-Judl. dated October 1, 2015 and instructions issued subsequently through OMs especially the OM No. J-16/11/2017-Judicial dated February 8, 2018 imposing certain restrictions on panel counsel. The aforesaid OMs are available on official website of this Department i.e. www.leqalaffairs.qov.in in the tab ‘Judicial Section’ under heading ‘Circulars pertaining to litigations’,” it added.
