Precautions, safety on LPG usage discussed

KATHUA: As a part of ‘Surakshit Bharat Khushal Bharat’ campaign, Vimal Gas Service Kathua organised an awareness drive in GDC Kathua. Around 500 students of the College participated in the event. The campaign was made more effective and recreational by presenting the message of safety and precautions to be taken during the use of domestic gas, in the form of a Nukkad Natak presented by a team of HPCL. The message highlighted that LPG cylinders should always be bought from authorised franchisees with seal and safety cap intact, keeping the windows open to ventilate kitchen, not to place inflammable or plastic items near the flame, never to leave your cooking unattended and closing the regulator knob to ‘Off’ position when cylinder is not in use.
Later, a lucky draw was also held by Principal GDC Kathua Dr Nater Singh. He gave prizes to the winner students and also advised them to spread awareness on the use of domestic gas. He also thanked HPCL for taking a slew of steps to promote the concept of safety among the public.
Vimal Bhagat the proprietor of Vimal Gas Service Kathua thanked Anees Quadri Sales Officer HPCL Jammu for making this programme a grand success. She also thanked Principal GDC Kathua Dr. Nater Singh for providing the infrastructure to organise the campaign.
