There is a plan to give 24×7 power to all households and industries by 2019 with the help of the National Institute of Solar Energy and HP Him Urja. Besides, 1.25 crore LED bulbs will be distributed under the ‘DELP’ scheme of the Centre. The ‘RISHTA’ scheme for urban local bodies will help save energy by 45-55 per cent.
