POONCH: Power House Club won the opening match of the three-match series in the women’s hockey tournament, organised by Hockey Poonch at Sports Stadium, here on Thursday.
Power House defeated Stadium XI by four goals to nil. Ishta (12th), Sita (15th), Abhilove (41st) and Nissam (48th) were the scorers.
Earlier, the event was declared open by Physical Education Master (PEM), Narinder Kour, who was Chief Guest while Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sheesh Mahal, Narinder Suri was Guest of Honour. Among others present were DySP DAR, Mohd Rafi Giri, DFO Poonch, Mohan Choudhary, Nirdosh Kumar, Ram Parkash and Tanveer Dar.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Sohil, Rohit, Akash, Kavleen and Mukesh Kumar.
The event is being held under the overall supervision of Vice President of Hockey J and K and former SAI Coach, Sham Lal Sharma.
