JAMMU: Post Mid-Term Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) plays a crucial role in bridging the communication gap between home and school. It provides an opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss the students’ strengths and areas that need improvement, both academically and behaviourally. These meetings help in fostering a supportive environment where parents and teachers can work together for the holistic development of the child. The post Mid-Term exams PTM, in particular, allows for a mid-year evaluation, enabling timely interventions and planning.

The Post Mid-Term PTM was successfully conducted at JKPS Kunjwani. The meeting served as an important platform for meaningful interaction between teachers and parents, with the aim of discussing students’ academic performance and overall development. The focus of the PTM was on understanding the progress of students, addressing concerns related to both academic and behavioral aspects, and collaboratively designing a roadmap to enhance performance in the upcoming evaluations.
Roopinder Kaur, Vice Principal JKPS Kunjwani expressed her satisfaction over the commendable attendance of parents. She stated, “The PTM witnessed an encouraging turnout of parents, demonstrating the keen interest and commitment of parents towards their children’s academic progress. Almost all the parents availed this crucial opportunity, reflecting the strong partnership between school and home. This high level of parental involvement was instrumental in facilitating productive discussions regarding each student’s performance”.
Stamping the seal of success on the conduct of PTM for the Middle wing students, Ms. Inderjeet Kaur, School Coordinator stated that teachers engaged themselves in detailed one-on-one discussions with parents, focusing on both academic and behavioral aspects of the students’ performance. “Teachers shared the results of the half-yearly exams, giving a clear picture of the students’ strengths and areas that require improvement. Detailed feedback was provided on each subject, highlighting the students’ understanding of the core concepts, their performance in assignments, and their exam results. Teachers also addressed the learning gaps, if any, and suggested strategies for improvement”, she added.
“Along with academic progress, the teachers discussed the students’ behavior in class. This included aspects like punctuality, attentiveness, participation in class activities, and overall discipline. Teachers shared their observations on how these behavioral aspects impact the students’ learning process and overall classroom environment”, she summed up.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore applauded the smooth and efficient conduct of the PTM. He said, “One of the key outcomes of the PTM was the collaborative effort between teachers and parents in designing a roadmap for better performance in the next evaluation round. Teachers advised parents to help their children develop better time management skills and study routines. A study timetable was suggested to ensure that students allocate sufficient time for each subject”.
“The post Mid-Term PTM was a productive and insightful session that highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between parents and teachers in ensuring students’ academic and behavioral growth.
