Poor hygiene, sanitation in Mendhar town

 STATE TIMES NEWS
MENDHAR: Before an epidemic breaks out in the border town of Mendhar due to the poor hygiene and sanitation condition, the residents of the town have once again appealed to the District Development Commissioner Poonch to take stock of the situation and issue suitable instructions to the concerned department to shift the stinking garbage.
The exasperated residents said that they have highlighting the their miseries through personal approach and through the press media but the authorities turned their grievances to a deaf ear and blind eye. Even the photographs of big heaps of garbage were circulated through media but none took serious notice of the situation.
The residents have appealed to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) to personally visit these areas and if the problem cannot be addressed at the local level, may be brought to the notice of District Development Commissioner Poonch for redressal.
