Jammu: Residents of Rajpura, Rehari, Subash Nagar and other adjacent areas expressed dismay over the negligible approach of the concerned authorities with regards to construction of roads and other developmental works in the area.
Digging was done here but now it seems the concerned executing agencies have forgotten to complete the work and have left the lanes in pathetic conditions which have caused apprehensions of serious accidents mainly to school going children and elderly people.
“We cannot describe in words that what sort of complexity we are facing due to the negligible approach of the concerned agencies that despite repeated reminders did not pay any attention towards the difficulty faced by the people. There is a government school nearby and trraffic high during rush hours.
Many accidents have taken place due to the pathetic condition of the road,” said Sunita Sharma, a resident of Rehari.
It is a mess during the morning hours as people are in a hurry to reach their destinations and the pathetic condition of roads and lanes create problems for them. The place is near the School Education board and there is chaos all the time. “All the lanes, by lanes and roads here are in a bad condition as no one bothers to take stock of the developmental works in the area. The road has now become accident prone and it is very difficult to drive a two wheeler here due to the digging of the lane.
The agencies have forgotten to complete the work and left the lanes as it is,” Sunil Sharma, another resident said. A rich number of people reside here who use to ply through these lanes as these are also the connecting lanes to Rehari and other adjoining areas but still these remain neglected and no one is bothered about the
problems being faced by the people.
