POONCH: City Football Club, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Club, Shaheed Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club and Friends Club, from district Poonch, in the disciplines of football, hockey, volleyball and kabaddi respectively have qualified for the Division Level Championship of J&K Sports Council Premier League.
The aforesaid clubs topped the table in the J&K Sports Council Premier league of district Poonch which concluded here on Monday.
In the closing ceremony, Rahul Yadav, District Development Commissioner Poonch was the Chief Guest while Commander 93 Infantry Brigade , Krishnan Lal Sharma, Mohammad Qasim DYSSO Poonch were the Guests of Honours.
Secretary District Kabaddi Association, Bisharat Khan and International Volleyball player, Saqlain Tariq were the Special Guests on the occasion.
The function began with welcome speech by Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch. He welcomed the gathering and highlighted a detailed note of the Premier League.
Later, Rahul Yadav met with all the young budding players who participated in the Premier league and extended his good wishes to all of them for next level.
He also congratulated Secretary J&K Sports Council Dr Naseem Javid choudhary and Ashok Singh designated officer for Jammu Division Premier League for providing excellent platform to the youth of J&K UT by organising such event.
The technical panel for today’s matches were Rajinder Singh PEM, Tarlochan Singh PET, Mohinder Bali for Football while Intezar Ali, Narinder Singh and Mir Alam For Kabaddi.
Prominent persons present were Pawan Kumar, lecturer Kulwant Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Sorav Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Harmik Singh and Ramparkash Ground Incharge.
