POONCH: Nawaz Munir of district Poonch has once again made it to the Twenty20 squad of the Jammu and Kashmir for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
A native of remote Chela Dangri village of border district of Poonch, wicket-keeper batsman, Nawaz first time selected in the J&K team in 2018-2019 cricket season and played a game.
Now, on finding berth in the J&K team for the second time, people of Poonch were hopeful of improved performance from Nawaz.
Meanwhile, Chairman Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club, Mohd Tariq complimented Nawaz Munir for the achievement and wished he gets more matches to prove his talent.
“Munir’s selection in the J&K team would go a long way in encouraging young cricketers of Poonch,” said Tariq.
Chairman of the EHSAAS Foundation, Parvez Ahmed Afridi also extended his good wishes to Nawaz Munir for better show this time.
