Political, social organisations condole Mufti Sayeed’s demise

JAMMU: Various political and social organisations on Friday expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who died yesterday in AIIMS, New Delhi.
Former Minister and National Conference leader Jagjeevan Lal has expressed grief over the passing away of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family. Jagjeevan Lal has prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to bereaved family for bearing this irreparable loss.
J and K ITI United Front under the chairmanship of Nazir Ahmed Molvi State President held a condolence meet and observed two minutes silence. He also prayed to God for granting peace to the departed soul and courage to the family to bear the irreparable loss. While paying rich tributes Principal ITI Jammu, M.I Kohli and all the ITI employees expressed their shock and grief on the demise of dedicated and honest statesman.
A meeting of the Managing Committee of Jammu Club, Jammu, was convened by Raman Samnotra, the Honorary Secretary of the Club, to pay homage to Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the former President of the Club. The members observed two minutes silence in the memory of the departed soul. While extending condolences to the bereaved family, the members of the committee paid rich tributes to Mufti. The Managing Committee expressed that Mufti’s death has left a great void in the politics of the State and the country which is difficult to fill. “Mufti was a great ‘Statesman’ and a staunch nationalist, who exercised the policy of Healing Touch. In his death, the State of J and K and the entire country has lost a great leader, which has caused an irreparable loss to the State as well the country. The Managing Committee also decided to cancel the celebrations of Lohri in the club this year, which is otherwise traditionally celebrated every year since the inception of the club.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) workers on Friday held a condolence meeting under the chairmanship of party District President, Vinod Sharma to mourn the demise of Mufti Sayeed.
In his message, Vinod said that Mufti Sayeed’s demise has left a huge void in the nation particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, where his commendable leadership had a major impact on people’s lives. Party workers expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. They also observed two minutes silence.
Others present were Garu Ram, Ramesh Kumar, Rajinder, Dheeraj Kumar, Munish, Baldev Singh, Pawan Sawhney, Narinder Sharma Geeta, Sanjeev Gupta, Kavita Sharma, Ritu Gondhi, Sunil Bhat, Chaman Lal Angral, Vinod Chowdhary and Yoginder Singh.
In Kargil, Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. He told that the development scenario in Kargil has always improved during his tenure, and in recent days a long pending demand of the people of Kargil have been fulfilled under his dynamic leadership and the dream of having a tunnel at Zojjila is now a reality.
Member of Legislative Assembly Kargil Asgar Karbalai issued a written statement from Chennai in which he said that the sad demise of Mufti Mohammed Syeed as a personal loss since. He extended his heartfelt condolences to Mehbooba Mufti, family members and party colleagues.
MLA Zanaskar Aga Syed Baqir Rizvi has also expressed his grief and sorrow and said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was a visionary politician who have a vision to make Kashmir a peaceful destination in the world. His death will create a vacuum in the state politics.
Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil Haji Hanifa Jan in his Condolence message writes that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was a visionary and dynamic leader has put the state of J&K on the track of Development of Prosperity and wrote that J&K is devoid of a great Statesman and the void created by his demise will be difficult to fill. The Religous Organization Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama Asna Ashriya Kargil called a Press Conference in which the Chief Spokesperson of the Organization Hujjatul Islam wal Muslameen Aga Syed Kazimi Mossavi told that the people of Kargil are in a state of shock after this great tragedy of the demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
He told that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was a great leader who has always dreamt for the all over development of all the regions of the state and particularly for the development of Kargil.
Molana Abass Karari Vice Chairman Imam Khomeini Memorial trust on behalf of also Condoled the demise of the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and told that his organization pray that Almighty Allah may rest the departed soul in Peace and grant strength and courage to the bereaved family and the people of J&K.
Other who offered their condolence including PDP Kargil president Kacho Gulzar Hussain , Aga Syed Ahmad Rizvi Anjuman e Sahib Zaman , District Congress committee Kargil, BJP Unit Kargil.
Employees of the Legal Metrology Department Jammu Friday observed two minutes silence to condole the death of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed . The prayer was held to pay homage to the departed soul.
The J&K Regional Branch of Indian Institute of Public Administration in a condolence meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr Ashok Bhan, Patron mourned the sudden passing away of a visionary statesman Mufti Mohd Sayeed. Rich Tributes were paid to the late Chief Minister by the members describing him as an able administrator and a mature politician who had welfare of the people of J&K always at the back of his mind.
Mufti Sayeed was described as a political Leader who had strong links with the grassroots and served the country and the State with distinction. Members prayed for peace to the departed soul and shared the grief of his family members. A two minute silence was observed in memory of the departed leader.
A separate condolence meeting was also held at Toll Plaza Lakhanpur in which the Officers/Officials of Excise and Commercial Taxes Department Lakhanpur were present. The staff expressed heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed. The staff prayed to Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, officers and staff of Directorate of Agriculture Krishi Bhawan, Jammu Friday condoled the sad and untimely demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed,Chief Minister J&K State. The State has lost a visionary leader who was committed for the farming community and the common masses. The Department prays to the Almighty God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Sakina Bano, Coordinator Jammu region, Jammu and Kashmir State, Ministry of Minority Community Affairs, Govt of India, has expressed heartfelt grief on the sad demise of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and condoled with the bereaved family.
In a condolence message, Saikna Bano highlighted the contribution of the late leader and said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has played a historic role in political circles of the state and the country. She said Mufti Sayeed was known for his political acumen, Statesmanship and he was leader of the masses. She further said that in his political career spanning over five decades, he carved out a place for himself in the history of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and the country.
His demise has created a great vacuum, which is difficult to be filled up, she said and maintained that it has caused an irreparable loss to the entire populace of the nation. She prayed for courage to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
Bushan Lal Bhat Ex- MLC Chairman Minority Cell J and K National Conference has expressed heartfelt condolences and described Mufti as a ground level politician of J and K State.
Former Director information and presently Advisor JK Rachnatmak Samaj (Global Gandhian Society) and Advisor civil Defence Jammu, expressed grief over the sad and sudden demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed.
He described Mufti as a senior seasoned politician and humble and noble human being.
He was a great visionary and true statesman. Singh said he was not only a popular leader of the state but also at National level who held the important portfolio at the Centre as Home Minister when the militancy in J and K State was at its initial stage.
He was among state forward and upright politicians who had made remarkable achievements. His demise is not only a loss to the State but to the country as whole. The void created due to his demise can hardly be filled in the field of politics.
All the officers and officials of Health Department held a meeting under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, Jammu Province and observed two minutes silence to pay homage and prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. While condoling, Dr.B.S Pathania, Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF said the void created by this loss would be impossible to be filled up in near future.
The Northern Command, Army Commander, Lt Gen D.S Hooda today expressed grief at the demise of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
In a condolence message, Lt Gen Hooda said contribution of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to Jammu and Kashmir through long years of public service will always be remembered.
He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
