Political ‘Fevicol’ between BJP-PDP will not last for long: Harsh

JAMMU: Dubbing the ruling alliance as a surreptious bondage of opportunist and diametrically opposed forces, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister described the hundred day rule of the said coalition as a sordid tale of failures and betrayals. He said that the BJP and PDP combine with their insurmountable contradictions has created socio-political uncertainty in the state with ominous signs for the future of the State.
He said that with both with BJP and PDP pulling in different directions, this unholy alliance of heterogeneous ideologies had jeopardised the developmental initiative in the State adding further that the political fevicol between the two partners will not be able to bond them for long.
He was addressing a gathering of Party workers in Bharnara Majalta organized by Majalta Tehsil unit of JKNPP. Harsh lambasted in particular the BJP for its ideological retreat and surrenders on majority of the issues pertaining to Jammu region to the utter disillusionment of Jammu people.
He said that distrust of public had exacerbated as the BJP Ministers were acting as mere ornamental pieces in the coalition and failing utterly to espouse the cause of their core constituency.
He said that Jammu peoples despair had translated into anger as the BJP had failed to allay the ingrained suspicion that the Saffron Party had sold its principles for power.
Strongly condemning the highly contradictory statements made by different BJP leaders on different occasions, he accused the Saffron Party for indulging in political debauchery only to hoodwink the common masses.
He said that the Saffron Party had hypnotized itself into believing that the people of Jammu are naïve and have a short memory and that its pusillanimity would soon be forgotten.
Cautioning the BJP to come clear on AIIMS, he said that the people of Jammu would never allow the shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir with the Coordination Committee already having launched hunger strike with further warnings to Gherao the elected representatives and ministers of Jammu.
He said that while JKNPP would continue its crusade for restoration of AIIMS to Jammu, the other issues of Artificial Tawi Lake, Recruitment Policy, Commencement of Delimitation exercise for ending regional imbalances, equitable allocation of funds, end of regional bias besides increase in anti national activities in Kashmir would receive focused attention of the party with its leaders holding protests in Jantar Mantar and outside Parliament in New Delhi next week.
Rebuking the govt. for its total failure on the developmental front, Harsh said that the existing and on-going schemes had come to a grinding halt with the govt. failing to release even the wages and salaries of its employees including daily rated, casual , consolidated, contractual , adhoc, need based, ReTs besides other employees.
He called upon the Chief Minister to order a probe into the circumstances in which thousands of pre-mature transfers have been made in Forest, PDD, Revenue, Education, Rural Development, Health Deptt. during the last three months despite his categorical instructions not to issue per-mature transfer orders.
Meanwhile Harsh in his capacity as Chairman of JKNPP announced the new body for Tehsil Majalta with Dharam Singh as Tehsil President, Rajesh Sharma as Youth Wing Tehsil President, Dina Nath as President SC cell, Mohd Saleem as President ST Cell, Kulbushan Singh as President Ex-Serviceman Cell, Makhan Lal president Block Khoon, Baldev Singh as President block Majalta and Nirmal Kesar and Bhushan Kumar as block presidents of Khoon and Majalta respectively with Sunil Sharma as President NPSU Majalta.
He further announced Ramesh Chander Gupta as Vice President Distt. Udhampur, Sugar Din as General Secretary Distt. Udhampur and Purshotam Singh as Vice President young wing district Udhampur.
