POONCH: Police on Friday recovered three abducted girls and also arrested an absconder who was evading arrest for the last seven years.
According to a report, District Police Poonch traced out the abducted girl namely Safia Akther (name changed) age about 15-16 years daughter of Aziza Dar resident of Boni Khet. The girl was reported to be abducted since 25th March-2015. A report was lodged by the parents that their daughter has been kidnapped by one Fayaz Ahmed son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Kacharban district Budgam. Accordingly case under FIR No. 55/2015 section 363,309 RPC was registered against the accused person at Police Station Surankote.
Later on specific information was generated by SHO PS Surankote Inspr. Masoof Ahmed Mirza and DySP Surankote Reyaz Tantray under the close supervision of Jatinder Singh Johar-SSP Poonch. A police party of Police Station Surankote was deputed to trace out the girl, after hectic efforts made, the abducted girl was recovered from Budgam area. The kidnapped girl was handed over to her parents after completing all legal formalities. However, the efforts are on foot to arrest the accused person.
Meanwhile, father of Sabia Akther (18) “name changed” lodged a written report at Police Station Surankote alleging therein that his daughter has been kidnapped on 16th Feb 2015 by one Mohd Ikhlaq son of Sanna Ullah resident of Hill Kaka.
In this regard, case under FIR No. 93/2015 section 366,109 RPC was registered at Police Station Surankote. Action swiftly, a police team led by ASI Mohd Rafiq of Police Station Surankote under the supervision of SHO PS Surankote, DySP Surankote and SSP Poonch, recovered the abductee from Traranwali Sangla and arrested the accused person.
After completing the legal formalities the girl was handed over to family members and further investigation is going on.
In another case, Surankote Police arrested one absconder who was evading his arrest since last more than seven years. The absconder has been identified as Barkat Hussain son of Alam Din resident of Gunthal Surankote in case under FIR No. 165/2008 section 376 RPC. The absconder also produced in the Court of Law.
Meanwhile, On 22 May 2015 one Yahyah Khan of village Khanater lodged a written report at Police Station Poonch that his wife namely Shahida (name changed) has been kidnapped by one Shafi Anwar son of Habib-Ur-Rehman resident of Kishanganj Bihar on 20th May 2015.
On this case under FIR No. 72/2015 section 366 RPC was registered at Police Station Poonch and investigation taken up. A police party of PS Poonch led by ASI Inderjeet Singh, Inspr. Jatinder Raina SHO PS Poonch under the close supervision of Jatinder Singh Johar-SSP Poonch recovered the abducted lady from Bihar state and completing other legal formalities the lady was handed over to her family members. The accused person has been arrested and investigation is going on.
