Police Raising Day DIG Wani flags off anti-drug rally

JAMMU: To generate awareness among the public and youth in particular to ‘say no to drugs’ and lead a healthy and happy life, District Police Jammu organised Anti Drug Rally in the city on Police Raising Day. The rally was flagged off from district Police Lines by Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, DIG J-S-K Range in the presence of Dr. Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu and all zonal SPs, DySP Hqrs, DySP DAR DPL Jammu and other police officers. The rally passed through Green Belt Park, Gole Market, Apsra Road, Last Morh, Women College Gandhi Nagar, Asia Hotel, 4th Tawi Bridge, Canal Road, Bakshi Nagar Pulli, Govt Medical College, Vigilance Rotary, Kachi Chawni, Panjtirti, Jain Bazaar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazaar, Shahidi Chowk, Denis Gate, Gujjar Nagar Bridge, Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station, PHQ Rotary and culminated at Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground. After culmination, a colourful cultural programme was organised at Police Auditorium, in which various artists displayed their talent in singing and dancing. Various skits about the ill effects of drugs and narcotics were also presented. Danesh Rana, IGP Jammu Zone was the Chief Guest who stressed all officers to launch special drives for drugs/narcotics abuse. Simrandeep Singh, DC Jammu was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
