Police failed to maintain law & order in Valley: Kranti Dal

JAMMU: Kranti Dal Jammu staged protest against the anti-national elements for creating hurdles in the ongoing annual Amarnath Yatra.
President Kranti Dal, Pritam Sharma expressed anguish over the lapses of security provided to Amarnath Yatris, Hindu businessmen operating in Kashmir and Langar Walas are demanding handing over of security responsibility to the army.
Sharma said that rioters have burnt the police station and snatched their weapons, besides thrashed the police personnel and beaten their family members, which clearly indicates that Kashmir Police has lost its relevance in providing security to anyone. In view of the present situation, Kranti Dal demanded that the security of the Amarnath Yatris should be handover to the army. He said that during Amarnath Yatra period, the State got boost in its economy but the government is deliberately ignoring this fact, he added.
Pointing towards the over-charging, he said that Kashmiri transporters are busy in overcharging but no one from the government came out to check it. He said that they are openly fleecing the Yatris and it seems that totally collapse of administration in the Kashmir Valley. He said that Kashmiri transporters are not allowing the Jammu transporters to take the Yatris, which is matter of great concern.
Launching a scathing attack on the Chief Minister over giving amnesty to 634 stone-pelters, he said after getting freedom they further started stone-pelting on the Yatris and created law and order problem. He asked the Chief Minister to immediate revisit her decision over giving amnesty to stone-pelters and the separatist leaders as they are again pelting stones and created a hell like situation in the Kashmir.
