RAJOURI: As a part of special drive against drug menace, police on Saturday destroyed illegal cultivation of opium crop in Darhal area of Rajouri District .
According to a report, on a specific input that some persons indulging in illegal cultivation of opium crops in Bela Chowkian area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Darhal, SHO along with police party on the direction of SSP Rajouri Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal Darhal raided the said location and found opium crops cultivated on a small piece of land.
The crop was destroyed and Executive Magistrate 1st Class Darhal was requested to bind down these farmers who are illegally cultivating the crops.
