RAMBAN: Keeping in view the present security situation, a mock drill for dealing with severe law and order problem was conducted by District Police Ramban at DPL Ramban.
As a capacity building measure and on the directions of Director General of Police, J and K to deal with any law and order with minimum use of force with non-lethal weapons, a drill was conducted in collaboration with Duty Magistrate, CRPF 160 Bn and District Police authorities. The mock drill was based on a specific plan involving deployment of police manpower and resources of key strategic points so as to prevent law and order situation turning violent or going out of control. The ultimate objective was to secure the lives and property of the people in such situations and inculcate confidence among general public. A total of 175 police personnel including CRPF men attended mock drill.
The exercise was conducted under the personal supervision of Sr. Supdt. of Police, Randeep Kumar, supervisory officers and Gurpreet Singh, Tehsildar, Ramban.
