PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti hails LG for considering demands of DPs of 1947

JAMMU: Lt. Gov. Manoj Sinha inaugurated LG’s Special Governance Camp for PoJK DPs at Sports Camp, Bhour Camp, recently. The programme focused on skilling, self-employment, social assistance, scholarships, sports, financial inclusion to aid economic development and financial stability to families of POJK.
On behalf of PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti, Dr. Deepak Kapoor (President, POJKVSS) thanked Manoj Sinha, Lt. Governor, UT of Jammu & Kashmir for addressing issues and considering the long pending demands of PoJK Displaced Persons.
He expressed his gratitude towards the Govt. for making dedicated efforts for the welfare of the POJK Displaced Persons.
It is worthwhile to mention that Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha after the inauguration of LG’s Special Governance Camp announced that the J&K Govt. will construct Smriti Bhawan in the memory of martyrs of POJK and ensured that every effort will be made to preserve and promote the culture and tradition of Displaced Persons.
He further said that steps will be taken to regularize the colonies of displaced persons and also assured that the central scheme “One Time Central Assistance” for the Displaced Persons of PoJK which ended last year on 31st March 2022 and more than 5000 families could not submit their claims within the specific time frame, the issue will be taken with the Central Government.
