JAMMU: In order to pay tributes to the martyrs of 1947, who lost their lives in tribal attack, PoJK Displaced Persons Forum organized a function at Master Devi Chand Municipal Park Jammu on Sunday under the leadership of Arun Mahajan. The programme, which was attended by a number of people and PoJK DPs, started with Hawan at 9 AM, wherein rich tributes were paid to martyrs of 1947 who laid down their lives for saving their motherland from the invasion of Pakistani forces in guise of Kabalis, who looted and murdered innocent people. Renu Bhatia, Chairman, Haryana State Women Commission, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and paid rich tributes to the martyrs.
Eminent among those who paid tributes to martyrs included Arun Chowdhary (President, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu & Kashmir) and an executive member of Visthapit Sewa Samiti, Jammu and Kashmir, Arun Khanna Councilor and Anu Bali Councilor, Ramesh Gupta (Ex-member PSC Punjab). The program concluded with distribution of refreshments among participants.
