SRINAGAR: Both off-line and on-line functions were conducted by Kashmir Markaz Ada-w-Saqafat, Chrar-e-Sharif for the purpose.
‘Gulban-e-Khyal’, 3rd book comprising Urdu poetry of noted poet and well known physician of J&K, Dr Gazanfar Ali was released on Saturday at an impressive live function held at Conference Hall of Life Foundation, Chrar-e- Sharif.
Kashmir Market Adab-w-Saqafat, Chrar-e-Sharif organised both off-line and on-line functions to mark release of book. The on-line function was presided over by renowned writer, scholar and poet, Professor Mohammad Zamaan Azurda whereas Head of the Department Jamia Milia Delhi, Eraq Raza Zedi was the Guest of Honour. The proceedings of the function were conducted by the Secretary, Kashmir Markaz Ada-w-Saqafat, Inayat Gul.
A selected gathering of local poets, writers, teaching faculty of Life Foundation and eminent citizens of Shah-re-Almdaar including Waseem Rasool, Nazir Salik, Yaseen Madhosh were also present on the occasion.
The off-line function, held to mark release of Dr Gazanfar Ali’s ‘Gulban-e- Khayal’ took off with recitation of Quranic verses by eminent religious preacher Molvi Naasir Ahmad while popular Sufi poet, Faqeer Nissar Ahmad Dildar recited soul touching Naat-e-Sharif. Noted writer, critic and poet Ali Ahsan presented a thought provoking paper on critical analysis and appreciation of poems. Media Advisor, Kashmir Markaz Adab-w-Sawafat Mushtaq Mehram congratulated Dr Gazanfar for releasing 3rd book comprising his Urdu poems.
Writer and poet Younis Waleed also presented paper on critical analysis of the book.
Chairman, Life Foundation, Baba Nazar-ul-Islam also spoke on the occasion and congratulated Dr Gazanfar Ali Gazal for bringing out his 3rd poetic compilation. He, on behalf of the Life Foundation, presented this year’s best achievers award to Dr Gazanfar Ali, for his outstanding medicare service to people and needy patients as an efficient physician and doctor.
