PNB organises Hindi Karyashala for employees

JAMMU: Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Monday organised a Hindi Karyashala for its staff members to inculcate in them the habit of using Hindi in their day to day office routine. As many as 25 staff members from different branches of the bank participated in the Karyashala.
Assistant General Manager, B.M Fazili inaugurated the Karyashala. Stressing upon the need of using Hindi in day to day routine, Fazili said that in keeping with the directions of the Government of India as well as guidelines laid down by the Head Office of the bank, maximum use of Hindi will ensure achievement of laid down targets for its implementation.
Secretary of Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Dr. Amar Singh explained in detail about Hindi correspondence.
Convenor of the Karyashala and Senior Manager (Rajbhasha) Jagdish Lal Bangotra explained in detail the policy and annual programme in respect of official language.
Prateek Gupta, Manager IT explained about the use of Unicode in computer.
Later, an essay competition on ‘Customer Service and Satisfaction’ was also organised. The winners were awarded prizes by Chief Guest Fazili and Sunil Khosa, Chief Manager, Circle Office PNB.
