JAMMU: Punjab National Bank (PNB) opened the registration of Yatris for Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2018 in 310 designated branch offices of bank at Pan India level.
The registration process was inaugurated by Pawan Kohli, Deputy Circle Head, PNB, J&K Circle at Rehari Chowk Branch, here on Friday. Kohli informed that the bank had participated in the registration process in 2012 as one of the five participating banks and since then, it is conducting registration through its designated branches across India.
He added that that PNB is committed to serve the society through its vast branch expansion and would like to reach the masses through this registration process.
This year, he said, PNB is conducting registration in 310 designated branches out of total of 440 branches allotted to three banks by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
He further informed that registration of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) pilgrims is assigned to PNB only and last year bank recorded a registration of more than one lakh domestic and 80 NRI pilgrims. Bank is undertaking registration process as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, he added.
