PM Narendra Modi is visiting the City of Temples or land of proud Dogras, Jammu, on Tuesday, the February 20, 2024. We welcome his visit. It is hoped he would also speak on the woeful tales of the suffering Dogras, the backbone of Bharat in this highly strategic part of the nation. He knows where the shoe is pinching. He knows what is responsible for the socio-cultural and politico-economic degeneration of the Dogras whose contribution to the process of nation-building is just splendid and spectacular. He also knows the Supreme sacrifices the Committed And nationalistic Dogras have been making since ages to defend and promote further the nation’s paramount interests in this region. He also knows the solution to the age-old Jammu problem.
It’s hoped that he would respect the sentiments of the Jammu Dogras, including Hindus, Sikhs, Gujjars and Bakerwals, like he appreciated the aspirations, needs and compulsions of Ladakhi Buddhists, and announce full state status for the grossly ignored and politically marginalised Duggar land, which lies between the Rivar Ravi and mighty Pir Panjal. Grant of full state status would be a floral tribute to Dr Shyma Prasad Mookerjee, Prof Balraj Madhok and Pandit Prem Nath Dogra, who all worked for Jammu’s full politco-economic empowerment.
