Pleas challenging KAS-2014 Mains Exam dismissed

JAMMU: Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar of J&K High Court on Thursday dismissed petitions challenging Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) Mains Examination-2014, thereby, giving a sigh of relief to the aspirants who had successfully cleared the examination.
Justice Attar vacated the stay, while dismissing the petition, with the observations that because of change of key answers, petitioners have taken a chance to get fresh examination conducted when in view of the aforementioned facts, they have no right in law to seek such relief from the Court.
While dismissing bunch of petitions, the Judge observed that the petitioners have prayed for issuance of Writ of Certiorari quashing the result notification bearing No.PSC/EX-15/47 dated October 5th, 2015.
“It is further prayed that respondents be directed to conduct the Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination 2014 afresh and pleaded that Key Answers with respect to certain questions in different series have been changed when the earlier keys were correct answers and revised keys are not the correct answers”. Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar observed that according to law, the petitioners cannot be considered as aggrieved and Writ of Certiorari cannot be issued in their favour and what appears from the pleadings of the petition shows that because of change of Key Answers, petitioners have taken a chance to get fresh examination conducted when in view of the aforementioned situation, they have no right in law to seek such relief from the Court.
