‘Play for Kings’ registration begins from Jan 12

JAMMU: To provide a platform to budding cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir to get a chance to play for the ‘Kings Cup’ ahead of IPL 8, Kings XI Punjab launched new initiative called “Play for Kings” for which registration commenced from 12th to 25th January from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Sidhant Cricket Academy, Marble Market, Trikuta Nagar, here. This was stated by Prashant Mishra, Partner Wood United in a press conference here today.
To participate in the contest, the participants can register themselves online by uploading their performance videos at www.kxip.in/PlayForKings or www.PlayForKings.com., he said adding that the participants can also link their videos on social media platforms and then invite Kings XI Punjab fans to vote for their favourite.
He said, “Kings XI Punjab take immense pride in providing a platform to promote grass root talent. With ‘Play for Kings’, we are collaborating both digital and on ground spaces to reach out to budding cricketers with the intention of providing an opportunity to showcase their skills. We would like to wish all the participants luck and hope to witness some extraordinary talent emerge from this.”
“TechShot Imagine in association with Woods United is the exclusive on-ground execution partner for the ‘Play for Kings’ Activity,” he said.
He further said, “This event will be a great platform for not just the 32 youngsters who will get a chance to play the Kings Cup and the 16 who will get the opportunity to play with their favourite cricket heroes, but for millions of Cricket fans who we would reach out to using all possible platforms. I congratulate and thank Kings XI Punjab for making this possible. I know they’ve always wanted to value add in the game and I’m delighted that we’re able to help them do that.”
Pankaj Sasun and Virender Sharma are the official partners for the ‘Play for Kings’ registrations in Jammu and Kashmir, he informed.
