PLASTIC POLLUTION

Plastic pollution has become a worrying topic for the whole world. Strict decisions like ban on plastic bags are being taken by the governments of many countries regarding this issue. Even after this, the solution to this problem is possible only when all of us are aware of this problem and contribute our bit to stop it. This is the time when tough decisions need to be taken by the government to fight this problem.
Due to the increasing demand for plastic goods, the production of plastics is increasing all over the world. Now the government should not give approval for plastic production to any new organization, so that the production of plastic can be controlled.
Along with this, there is also a need to spread awareness among people about the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment. This can be easily done through television and radio advertisements, hoardings and social media. Plastic bags break into small pieces and get mixed in the water sources, due to which it mixes with the soil and has a negative effect on the growth of trees and plants. Along with this, it also has a harmful effect on aquatic life. Mostly these bags are used for carrying groceries, if we wish, we can easily stop using them and adopt reusable cloth bags. Bottled water comes in plastic bottles and glasses. These bad water bottles and glasses play an important role in plastic pollution. As a responsible citizen it is our duty to stop buying bottled water and instead use our own water bottles. Most of the outside food is packed in plastic containers, which leads to plastic generated waste. That’s why instead of ordering food from restaurants, we should eat homemade food, which is good for both our health and the environment. The disposal of waste generated from plastic and its increasing quantity is becoming a challenge, due to which the problem like plastic pollution has taken such a frightening form. With some of these easy and long-term measures, we can play a commendable role in reducing the level of plastic pollution.
