JAMMU: Panun Kashmir (PK) has welcomed the resolution passed by the UK Parliament condemning the efforts of the Pakistan regime to include the territory of Gilgit and Baltistan into Pakistan as its fifth province. PK expressed thanks to the Parliamentarian Bob Blackman of the Conservative Party for his bold initiative to move this historical resolution.
Addressing a press conference here today, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir said that Panun Kashmir welcomes the resolution passed by the UK Parliament condemning the efforts of the Pakistan regime to include the territory of Gilgit and Baltistan into Pakistan as its fifth province. The categorical parliamentary assertion in the resolution that the state of Pakistan has been in possession of this territory illegally from 1947 is a matter of great satisfaction. Panun Kashmir, which represents the geo-political aspirations of the indigenous people of Kashmir-the displaced community of Kashmiri Pandits comprising seven hundred thousand members, expresses its special thanks to the Parliamentarian Bob Blackman of the Conservative Party for his bold initiative to move this historical resolution of great political value. Moreover, it is also a huge victory for the Government of India on the front of its international diplomatic initiatives. The resolution has also said that Gilgit-Baltistan is legally and constitutionally a part of Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir and the citizens of this area have no fundamental amenities and the freedom of expression available to them.
