RAJOURI: A pipping ceremony was held in District Police Lines Rajouri in which 20 ASIs of District Rajouri who have recently been promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector by ZPHQ Jammu were decorated with new rank by Dy. Inspector General of Police R-P Range, A.K Atri and Sr. Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Mubassir Latifi.
On this occasion, the newly promotees were congratulated on their elevation. The officers who were felicitated on the occasion – Mohd Azad Malik, Alah Dad Mirza, Tassadiq Hussain, Rajan Kumar, Mohd Rafiq, Ghulam Murtaza Mirza, Netar Parkash, Talib Hussain, Munshi Khan, Shabir Alam, Amin-ul-Haq, Mohd Bashir, Mohd Azam, Mohd Farooq, Chamail Singh, Mohd Iqbal, Ghulam Qadir, Chander Parkash, Mohd Razaq and Mohd Javed all SIs.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIG of Police R-P Range and SSP Rajouri stated that it is because of their clean service record and commitment towards duty they were rewarded with the promotion. They emphasised the officers to work with more zeal and dedication in the welfare of general public and utilise their skill and experience not only in the field of curbing social crime but also to guide their lower subordinates so that they too become future asset for the department. On this occasion, four Dy.SPs who have successfully completed their probationer period were also given warm send off after holding the pipping ceremony.
