NOWSHERA: The members of All Jammu and Kashmir PHE ITI Trained CP Workers Association held a protest under its President Nowshera Division Pushkar Raj Sharma and other office bearers in support of their demands by taking off their shirts in the scorching sun on Friday.
The protesters were demanding salary for the last 22 months, increase in the rate of their salary to the tune of Rs 4,500 per month and regularisation of all those daily rated workers who have completed seven years service besides other demands.
The protesters said that if the government does not take any action immediately to fulfill their demands, they will come on roads with their families to intensify their protests.
Meanwhile due to the strike of PHE workers, the public in general is facing great difficulty.
Prominent among others present include Ashok Kumar and Khalik Hussain Mirza.
